Colossians 1:15-28

In this week’s text, Paul draws on the power of communal singing by quoting a hymn about Christ in the middle of his letter to the Colossians. Paul is giving us a hymn of praise to Christ here in the early part of the letter to the Colossians. In the hymn, Paul praises Christ as the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
